Space - Time Invariant States of the Ideal
We study systems of classical point particles in d-dimensional Eu-clidean space. Using a result of O. Kallenberg we prove that probability measures , which (i) are translation-invariant, (ii) are stationary under the ideal gas dynamics, (iii) have a nite number of particles, energy, and entropy per unit volume, are in fact a convex combination of Poisson measures.

متن کاملPartially Invariant Solutions for Two-dimensional Ideal MHD Equations
A generalization of the usual method of similarity analysis of differential equations, the method of partially invariant solutions, was introduced by Ovsiannikov. The degree of non-invariance of these solutions is characterized by the defect of invariance d. We develop an algorithm leading to partially invariant solutions of quasilinear systems of first-order partial differential equations. We ...
متن کاملOn Novikov’s Ext’ modulo an Invariant Prime Ideal
IN HIS WORK on complex cobordism [ 181 Novikov introduced a spectral sequence converging to the stable homotopy of a space, depending only on the complex cobordism of the space as a module over the ring of primary complex cobordism operations. This spectral sequence can be localized at a prime p and one can work, as Novikov did, with the smaller theory, BP*( ), known as Brown-Peterson cohomolog...
متن کاملIdeal Corticosteroid Choice for Epidural Steroid Injections: A Review of Safety and Efficacy
Spine pathology and pain are common. Epidural injections for radicular pain are a common treatment option. While effective for certain populations, these injections have been associated with rare but significant complications including paralysis. The mechanism of injury is felt to be an embolic event following an injection of non-soluble particulate corticosteroids inadvertently into an artery ...
